State of the Show / Callbacks Cancelled

Hi all… I’m not quite sure how to start the upcoming conversation, so I suppose I’ll just dive right in. Given the current district and state policies put into place to combat the spread of coronavirus, and the well-being of our loved ones these policies rightfully seek to protect, the spring production is officially being cancelled for this year.  This decision was not reached easily, and given the rapidly shifting situation locally, nationally, and internationally, is the least bad in a series of bad options from a risk perspective. Current policy states no non-essential activities for the next 30 days.  According to the list of what is considered ‘essential’, theatre rehearsals do not make the grade.  Assuming a best case scenario, the earliest we could complete our audition process and begin rehearsal on the show would be mid-April.  The minimum length of time we have ever produced a show in, much less toward the end of a school year with all of the commitments that entails, is 5 w

CallBack List!

All right! That was a blast, y'all!  Some fantastic energy in the room, some bold physical choices, and just a great playful vibe from everyone that is going to make this show a blast.  Hats off to everyone for their work thus far. The folks on the list below are called back for readings Thursday from 430pm-730pm.  Please make sure to have the script read by that point, to have some concrete thoughts about who these folks/pandas/sheep/aliens are and what they're about, and be ready to make some bold, clear choices.  For those folks who don't find their names on the list below, thank you so much!  It takes so much courage to risk and to put yourself out there for shows, and you did yourself proud...and hopefully had a good time!  Children's Theatre has some style specific needs that factored into the decision-making process, and that was a deciding factor for many.  Please make sure to look at the Crew opportunities...we'd love to have you on as a part of the t

Auditions and Crew Assignments for our spring production of ' Revenge of the Space Pandas; or Binky Rudich and the Two Speed Clock ' is ready to go!  Audition packets, crew applications, and research copies of the script are all available here (see the links to the right) and in the Drama Room.  All the information you need to know is in the audition packet...but if you need more, please feel free to email me at mjamie@pps.net.
